About Miriam

Miriam is one of Britain's pioneering positive psychologists.   She holds a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP), the science of optimal human functioning and well-being, from the first programme of its kind in Europe, the partner to Professor Martin Seligman's MAPP at Pennsylvania University.

"Dr. Seligman is turning his attention to training Positive Psychologists, individuals whose practice will make the world a happier place, parallel to the way clinical psychologists have made the world a less unhappy place."     University of Pennsylvania.

I teach people about positive psychology and design training programmes based on the science.  I also coach individuals using positive psychology techniques and communicate the field through articles, talks, lectures and a CD.  Developing your natural strengths is one of the principles underpinning positive psychology and one of my strengths is to take the academic research and turn it into practical interventions to help people improve their well-being (the hedonic side of happiness) and realise their potential (the self-actualising side of happiness).
